The Wedding Venues list that is – not even so quietly – stealing your dream Wedding in Tuscany

Wedding Venues List & Dream Wedding in Tuscany

I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE

When I got married in Fiji  ( yes, Fiji, that place 28 loooong flight hours distant from Italy  -_- ,  ), 21 years ago (if you ready this in 2026),
well I had a list too

Not hundreds of venues, because honestly Fiji wasn’t exactly overflowing with options back then, but a list nonetheless

I remember sitting in front of Google, completely alone, with no professional to guide me, trying to make sense of resorts I would never visit in person before the wedding day – two trips (way and return)  of 28 hours of flight were MORE than enough for me – and in fact I chose everything blind
I had to weigh beauty against logistics, price against gut feeling and somehow arrive at a decision that felt right

I know exactly what that list feels like to make
And I know exactly what it costs you

Magnolia Wedding Planner Silvia got married in Fiji Islands

Here’s what I see after +20 years of career as Wedding Planner in Tuscany and take notes, It’s an interesting story

You – couple – find a venue on Instagram
Then another one on Pinterest
Then someone mentions one in a Facebook group
And what about that extraordinary Villa that Google found you?

Suddenly there’s a TikTok about a hidden Villa gem in the Chianti hills

and BOOM: the list is done with way too many venues
Every single entry on that list feels like hope, like a small piece of your wedding taking shape, becoming real.
One more option
One more possibility
One more chance to get it just right.

I understand it completely. I really do, but here’s the truth nobody tells you:

Every line you add to that list is also a little piece of clarity you lose.

And a lot of that list-building, if we’re honest, is driven also by F.O.M.O., the fear that the perfect venue will be booked before you even find it (thank you forums of all sorts that are pushing you on this even more)

The anxiety that if you don’t save it now, it will disappear
But here’s what that fear actually does: it keeps you moving so fast, collecting so frantically, that you never stop long enough to ask the only question that truly matters: is this actually right for us?

F.O.M.O. builds endless lists
CLARITY builds weddings

But there is a lot more than FOMO to highlight my loves

Endless asile of drinks in a supermarket

Think about walking into a supermarket and finding yourself in the drinks aisle,  one of those endless corridors that stretches for what feels like miles, with thousands of options staring back at you
By the time you reach the end, everything looks the same

You can’t remember what you wanted

You can’t tell the difference between sparkling and still, between affordable and overpriced, between what you actually like and what just caught your eye and so you do one of three things:

  • you grab whatever is familiar (but of course for your wedding is not doable)
  • you walk away with nothing
  • or – and this is the one that worries me most – you pick whatever seems fine on the surface:

Available
Within budget (probably only superficially)
Big enough for your guests (at least seems so)

And “SEEMS FINE” is not what your wedding deserves, is it?

Overall the problem honestly is never the list itself
The problem is WHO creates it

Wedding venue lists for Tuscany wedding

If you build a venue list on your own, however thoughtfully your do it, simply you don’t have the tools to evaluate what really matters
You see the beautiful photos
You read the glowing reviews, but you don’t know what questions to ask, what red flags to look for, what a venue’s true character is like on a rainy Saturday in June versus a perfect October afternoon

A Wedding Planner, a Wedding Creator, does

And the difference is not just knowledge
It’s perspective
It’s having worked with hundreds of venues, having seen what works and what doesn’t, having built enough relationships to know what a place is really like once you’re actually there and most of all… it’s working on your project foundation as first step, knowing you inside out, creating the pillars

When I work with a couple, my shortlist is rarely longer than two or three venues

Wanna know my hidden secret?

When I work on the foundations to understand who you are, what you want, who yuor guests are, how you love, I already know the answers before we’ve even finished our first conversation

There’s one place that’s simply, undeniably yours and I’d love for every couple to experience that feeling: not the overwhelm of a hundred options, but the quiet certainty of the one

So if you’re just starting out, here’s what I want you to do

Stop building the list
Start finding your person

Find a wedding planner you trust, give them time to really know you and let them build the list
You might be surprised how short it is and yet how right it feels.

Because the goal was never to have the longest list
The goal is always to find the place where your story belongs
